Distraction

I was in KL yesterday, and had the chance to go around the Food exhibition in Midvalley. Other than getting samples to taste, I had my eye on this baby.

Maybe some day I'd have that for my own use at home. I can't help but drool thinking about it - I could make my own frothy cappuccino and lounge at home watching the clouds all day. My uncle in Penang said that he had his eye on this one model that costs around 3k, but this baby costs double maybe coz it's using the pod coffee.

That made it less interesting than La Marzocco, in my eyes.

I love what we're currently using even if it's old fashioned to others. It's just fascinating to hear the grinding sound of the Astoria, when you pull the lever and stamp the ground espresso. Then you can see the perfect shot coming out with the crema, body and heart - each with it's own color.

With that I could say I would not take a second look at Verismo and Mastrena, even if they're so called better. What satisfaction can you get if all it takes is just a push on a button?

And yeah, I have the urge to open my own cozy, little cafe when I look at them. Something like the one in Coffee Prince. Dreaming again.. :p

counting the years

We live just 30 minutes from each other, but seldom have the chance to meet. Now it's hard too - she don't have to work on weekends, but it's the opposite for me.

I'm just thankful we get to meet again last Friday, albeit it was a quick one. We went to get our coffee fix, some sushi and spent the rest of the time talking. We haven't got enough, but soon it was time to go. I'm aiming for a whole day next time, you better prepare yourself dear. ;)

Oh, and the vacation we have in mind..really can't wait for that. I'll get ready the list of food we should eat first..haha.

Note: We didn't plan on wearing the same color, we just think alike :)

gold rush

I personally know a lot of girls that don't like to wear gold jewelry, but it's a different story for white gold. Not for me, though. I used to like white gold when I was in secondary school, talk about peer pressure :p but now no more. It has been a few years since I scratched white gold and platinum from my wedding ring wishlist.

I'm being practical. Everyone's talking about investing in gold, right? ;p
Besides, these babies are downright stunning.

The last ring says it all.. wink wink.

all the pictures

I just watched Killers, Letters to Juliet, and Knight and Day..in no correct order. I think all three movies were great, not all the 1 hour plus of each movie of course..but they were still delightful.

In Killers, Ashton Kutcher was oh-so-handsome as the retired assassin. I love when he wore the white safety helmet  and the white shirt at the construction site, he had this cheeky look on his face..despite putting on the pair of shades. But I think he needs to work on his moves - he seemed 'old' and couldn't move fast enough after he got married for three years. Luckily all the people trying to kill him were sloppy too :p

definitely adding Nice, France to my wishlist after the movie
love Heigl's green dress

And everyone would know what kind of effects the Letters to Juliet had on me - I was close to hijacking a plane and directing them to Italy right then and there while watching the movie. Everything was so beautiful.

The words in the letter written by Sophie for Claire was only read at the end of the movie, during Lorenzo and Claire's wedding..
"Dear Claire, "What" and "If" are two words as non-threatening as words can be. But put them together side-by-side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life: What if? What if? What if? I don't know how your story ended but if what you felt then was true love, then it's never too late. If it was true then, why wouldn't it be true now? You need only the courage to follow your heart. I don't know what a love like Juliet's feels like - love to leave loved ones for, love to cross oceans for but I'd like to believe if I ever were to feel it, that I will have the courage to seize it. And, Claire, if you didn't, I hope one day that you will. All my love, Juliet"
they should do this scene naturally though

Knight and Day was funny and I'm impressed that Tom cruise and Cameron Diaz did a majority of the stunts on their own.
