out of the ordinary

I wrote about being reluctant to go out and watch to the movies alone before, I'm slowly turning into a recluse at this rate :p
But the truth is I can't stand not watching Edward and Bella for long..my brother won't be home for three more days, so I just had to go out and forget about trying to break the record of staying in the cave a million years. Haha.

I was walking towards the ticket counter chanting Edward's name and suddenly I saw a poster of 50/50. I saw Joseph Gordon-Levitt's face and I'm hooked just like that. So I chose the 2.30 pm show for Breaking Dawn and 1.00 pm for 50/50. If you're good you would know what happened.

Yeah I didn't finish watching 50/50. I sat inside the hall with I think maybe 7 other person, and kept on looking at my watch throughout the movie. From the start, until 2.30 pm..and I rushed to the other hall, thinking I'd still be among the earliest to arrive. Funny I'd thought like that.

This IS Breaking Dawn. So I had to step on around other people's toes to get to my seat, and I just had to choose the seat near the center of the row when I usually sit beside the aisle. I want to know what is it with me today. And urgh..I hate crowds this big. Remind me never to go to Wednesday's show anymore. It's the school holidays for God's sake..what was I thinking??

But the most wonderful thing is Breaking Dawn Part 1 really delivers. I was smiling non-stop right from the start of the movie. The movie is beautiful. The dress is really..perfect. No other dress would be better for Bella.

Oh and Seth's so cute. He can shove Jacob to the side, definitely. I was never on Team Jacob, and I'd pick Seth as the wolf any day.

The royal blue dress Bella wears when she turned into a vampire is a great choice, it contrasts nicely with her pale skin..but I had a hard time looking for her picture..and this is the closest as it gets to the real one.

I think I might have shed a tear, or two when Bella's eyes flutter open for the first time as a vampire and then the credit rolls *sigh* It was really emotional for me, it's nearing the end..already?

But anyhow..Part 2, come faster please.

sweet

Last night my big family had dinner together..now that seems to feel like 'makan besar' already. As usual, my favorite thing to do is to chase around the little kids and hug them ever so often. Seen here are Awee and Ayu..my nephew and niece.

Awee is so cute, he ran everywhere following his elder brother..and after I held him for some time he'd say "I want Afaz (his brother)". He's just so adorable. And he even asked if my sister wanted those lolly sticks shaped like hand and foot after he finished licking playing with them, "Kakak want?" He's so sweet although he's supposed to call her aunt :p

I tried my hand at baking this Congo Bars, recipe from auntie Yani..but I think I'll need a few more tries to get it right. They said it's too sweet, but I still can't taste..so I have no idea how sweet it really is.

I was reminded of the old days when I saw my friend tagging pictures of babies' winter coats and stuff to show her mom so that her mom can get inspirations of what to sew for her grandchild. The grandchild mentioned is coming out to see the world in a month or so, insyaAllah.

My mom used to sew clothes for me and she even made a handbag with my name on it. That's why I love being the eldest in my family ;)

Come to think of it, it would be a great thing to be able to sew cute little stuff for our own babies..right? It'd make me one proud mommy if I can make that - Superwoman? Haha. It'd be fun to see them parading cute handbags like Suri. Only better coz it'd be handmade, with love.

I've been Yoon Eun-hye's fan ever since I saw her in Goong. She's so cute you're never gonna believe her real age :p

In her latest drama, Lie to me she acted along side Kang Ji-hwan and their chemistry is incomparable. They were very comfortable with each other and I just love seeing them together. Especially when Coffee House didn't turn out the way I wanted it to be - I want Ji-hwan to end up with cute Eun-jeong, and I wished for it real hard.

Charlie Day 5

After being in contact with Charlie as written here, I didn't feel any pain..at least not right away. I think the wound started to throb later in Day 2. Then it became even more of a hassle to me - I couldn't let water fall on my face during shower anymore (it felt like pebbles being thrown on the wound) when it was my favorite thing to do, and I couldn't even squint my eyes (that hurts too). Then the wound turned bright red on Day 3, and I had to look down during class hoping that nobody would notice. Fortunately only a close friend of mine caught a glimpse. I think it's getting better slowly, although I couldn't stand the pain without dabbing on antibiotic cream. And I think I caught the culprit last night lounging on my pillow - no idea if it's the same one or not, though.

On another note, I've finished watching several K-drama - My Princess, Athena, Oh! My Lady and My Fair Lady. And I'm so in love with Song Seung-heon (Park Hae-yeong in My Princess) and Super Junior's Choi Si-won (Kim Joon-ho in Athena, and Seong Min-woo in Oh! My Lady).

I just watched Killers, Letters to Juliet, and Knight and Day..in no correct order. I think all three movies were great, not all the 1 hour plus of each movie of course..but they were still delightful.

In Killers, Ashton Kutcher was oh-so-handsome as the retired assassin. I love when he wore the white safety helmet  and the white shirt at the construction site, he had this cheeky look on his face..despite putting on the pair of shades. But I think he needs to work on his moves - he seemed 'old' and couldn't move fast enough after he got married for three years. Luckily all the people trying to kill him were sloppy too :p

 And everyone would know what kind of effects the Letters to Juliet had on me - I was close to hijacking a plane and directing them to Italy right then and there while watching the movie. Everything was so beautiful.

The words in the letter written by Sophie for Claire was only read at the end of the movie, during Lorenzo and Claire's wedding..

"Dear Claire, "What" and "If" are two words as non-threatening as words can be. But put them together side-by-side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life: What if? What if? What if? I don't know how your story ended but if what you felt then was true love, then it's never too late. If it was true then, why wouldn't it be true now? Knight and Day was funny and I'm impressed that Tom cruise and Cameron Diaz did a majority of the stunts on their own.

we went to Bank Negara Malaysia for our Investment Management class' academic trip, but everyone knows the whole point of going there is just to spend the rest of the time having fun with friends :p.

i woke up around 5.30 in the morning, when usually it won't be for another hour or so before i start my day. because of the trip to SPNB that we had last semester, i felt inclined not to rush things and end up being among the firsts there. i even had time for a cup of coffee, then i realized that i need to hurry coz it was nearly 6.50 at that time. we were supposed to be waiting there already...yikes.

when we arrived (after being summoned :p), everyone except for us were already there eating Nasi Lemak for breakfast. even the guys.

we arrived at BNM around 9.30 am, and after being herded into the hall we realized that we weren't the only one group they're having. there were also students from UUM and UNITEN. so much for exclusivity. it turned into a very 'serious' talk about investment stuff which i personally have no interest in.

the guys from UNITEN made us turn our heads a couple of times, but one of them was even better looking..he looked like some Korean actor. we threw glances that were not even near inconspicuous :p

then it was time for lunch a.k.a the most awaited time for us. at first we thought we'd be taken to Sogo for lunch, as it was the nearest to BNM. i was already thinking of running to Jalan TAR and Jalan Masjid India for a shopping spree. but the driver said there was no parking spot available there, so we had to go to KLCC..AGAIN.

so we had to spend time there..drooling over Tod's and LV and everything else. and there had to be a very heavy downpour when we were leaving - we were soaked with rain when we had to run to the bus which was parked quite a distance away. such a dramatic ending for the trip :p

usually i'd choose the main lead in the drama, but when i watched Mary stayed out all night a.k.a. Marry me, Mary! i think the second guy's character is better. mianhe, Geun Seok. i'd root for Jeong-in (Kim Jae-wook) over and over again.

at first i made a mistake when i thought he's the same one that acted in My girlfriend is a gumiho. but that's actually Noh Min-woo (as Phillip in Pasta). Kim Jae-wook is actually the guy who made waffles in Coffee Prince. what i love about his character is that he's calm and collected compared to Moo-gyeol, and the way he expressed his love for Mary is cute.

i've watched Playful Kiss a.k.a Naughty Kiss a.k.a Mischievous Kiss with Kim Hyun-joong and Jeong So-min as the main couple. they took the part of Baek Seung-jo and Oh Ha-ni, respectively.

there would be nothing wrong with any drama with KHJ as the cast ;)

just that i think the drama is so similar to Goong a.k.a Princess Hours with the teddy bears at the end of each episode. There are other similarities too, like the girls always hung out in the classroom full of drawings, and the cute places they go to - Oh Gi-dong's noodle shop, the salon where Ha-ni's friend Joo-ri works at, etc. at times Oh Ha-ni's character is similar with Sin Chae-kyeong of Princess Hours too - the hairstyles, the weird school uniform (when Ha-ni helped to retrieve the canned drinks for a junior and Baek Seung-jo), her face expressions. maybe it's because both drama were directed by Hwang In-roi

all in all Playful Kiss is a beautiful drama. starting with Oh Ha-ni having a major crush on Baek Seung-jo, the best student in Parang high school and luck seems to be on Ha-ni's side by the time they were nearing graduation.

She and her dad moved in with Seung-jo's family. She's favored by Seung-jo's mother who helped to keep them together. Seung-jo's mother is an interesting character too, keeping tabs on her son while in disguise but was always found out and taking pictures of Seung-jo and Ha-ni.
